Navigating Chronic Pain

With Chronic Pain Australia

We often talk about chronic pain, after all it affects one in five Australians over the age of 45. But what exactly is it, how does it affect people's lives and how can it be managed?

Chronic pain is relatively common in Australia and can exacerbate poor health and wellbeing. It can be debilitating and stressful, making it hard for a person to work and do the things they enjoy, like exercise and socialise. It can even make it more likely to experience mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance and fatigue.

Chronic Pain Australia (CPA) is the country’s peak body for pain and they’re here to help us break down chronic pain, including the neuroscience behind it and strategies to manage pain. This free online session will build on Understanding Chronic Pain and continue the exploration of chronic pain with the chair of CPA, a physiotherapist and peer support mentor. Join us and gain a deeper understanding of chronic pain through science and lived experience insights as well as practical ways to manage its impact.

Boost your knowledge and find ways to navigate chronic pain with confidence and clarity.
